Statement of Objectives / Aspirations of Engineering Departments

This is an exciting period for the Engineering profession as the rapidly changing technology creates many opportunities and challenges. Department of Information Technology is prepared to meet the challenges and is playing a leadership role in shaping the education of the 21st Century by providing unique educational and research opportunities in the forefront of Computer Engineering, Information Technology and their applications. The curriculum and syllabus are subjected to continuous up-gradation to maintain pace with the fast changing industrial scenario. B. Tech (Information Technology), BCA are the courses currently being offered by the Department. The Department moulds young outstanding engineers who are strong in academic pursuits. It organizes various supplementary programs, which include Paper Presentations, Technical seminars & Mock Interviews in order to prepare the student for a career in the computing field or for graduate study. Special orientation is provided to the staff periodically for updating their acumen and to imbibe the latest technological changes. The staff and students are members of the Computer Society of India.

In an abundant- information epoch, the department is committed to disseminate the most up-to-date drift in software industry. This ensures flourishing career for scholar with foremost IT companies. The department activities accompany with an instance of innovation, variation and exaggeration to extend nurturing of academics. The department also contributes to the noble cause of furthering our discipline by providing training in various certification programs. The academic projects of the IT department are in-house, provided with well equipped lab and training facility under the guidance experienced faculties and invitees from the industry, involved in research program.

The department remains committed towards its goal of producing not only industry ready professionals, but also to provide the right ambience and infrastructure for those interested in pursuing their interest in Computers and related fields.

Never the one to sit back on its laurels, the department has been untiring in its search for educational excellence. Competent and highly educated faculties, many of whom are involved in research activities (in the fields of Software Engineering, RDBMS, Fuzzy Logic etc) are involved in satisfying the student’s constant curiosity. The department has organized in the recent past numerous Seminars, STTPs and Conferences to provide everyone an opportunity to interact with the best in the country. New programs at the PG and UG levels (M.Tech, ME, BE IT) have been started to meet the ever growing demand of quality education in the field of computer science. The Department today stands out as a beacon to all, in the field of Computer education.

The faculty consists of highly qualified and experienced teachers. The staff takes part in the seminar/short term courses to update their knowledge. Our main objective is to impart education and training in electronics and communication engineering at the undergraduate level with special emphasis on electronic systems. Starting from inception the Department of ECE has been designing and delivering to the students a curriculum that keeps them abreast with the latest developments and trends in the field. The vision of the department is to excel in undergraduate teaching with emphasis on developing analytical ability as well as the technical skill of the student to thrive constantly for acquisition of knowledge towards development of electronic technology and nurture the spirit of innovation in design of electronic project

This branch of Engineering is the order of the day. The scope of application is so vast that one cannot think of any other field where electricity and electronics do not find its utility. It deals with the development, production, and testing of electrical and electronic devices and equipment.

Electrical and Electronic Engineers are the most sought after of the engineers they perform a dual role. As Electrical Engineers they design equipment to produce and distribute electricity. The equipment includes generators run by water power, coal, oil and nuclear fuels and transformers. They also design and develop electric motors, other electrical machinery as well as ignition systems used in cars, aircraft and other engines. They work to improve such devices as air conditioners, food processors and vacuum cleaners.

As Electrical engineers, they play a vital role in the production of ,motors, generators, medical and scientific instruments and missile control system . They develop master plans for the parts and connection of miniature integrated circuits which control the electrical signals in most electronic devices. They design, build and program complex electrical systems to perform specific tasks. Thus the role of Electrical and Electronic Engineers is indispensable as this branch of study has a perfect blend of the two subjects.

To suit the above requirement, KITE college have developed excellent labs fully equipped with high quality and sophisticated test equipment and rich experienced faculty.

This is the youngest jewel in the crown of the Co-ed College (KPES) of the Katragadda Innovative Trust for Education. Admissions for the First batch have commenced from A.Y 2011-12. Already full fledged Mechanical Engineering Workshop and the state of the art Hydraulic laboratories are being established in the new wing of KPES.

As far as academics is concerned, core of the teaching faculty is already in place and the recruitments are in progress. Currently, an Associate Professor who had his Post Graduation at the practically oriented PSG College of Engineering Technology, Bharatiyar University is leading the team of excellent teachers. This department is currently enjoying the unique privilege of being chaired by Prof.K.S.R.K.Prasad with rich experience in teaching Mechanics, Structural Design, Shock and Vibration Engineering Dynamics, Composites, Exptl. Mechanics etc., at IISc/IIT Bombay and research experience in guiding VRDE Ahmed Nagar in the design of AJAY 6X6 Military transport vehicle, as well as “Manufacturing Automation”, since it’s inception at ADA,(of DRDO, Ministry of Defense Govt. of India, Developer of the “Tejas”, LCA) besides publications in the International Journal of Production Research(IJPR) , International Journal of CAD/CAM (IJCC) and Journal of Aircraft (AIAA) etc. This arrangement would continue till full time high caliber Professor of Mechanical Engineering is found.
